Leadership Behaviour Programme

CHALLENGE

To develop a new Leadership Behaviour Programme to help managers display the behaviours expected of them as future leaders in the business.

OUR APPROACH

Following discussions with the Board, it was identified that the Programme should deliver a recognised qualification and it was agreed that the Programme would be accredited by the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) at Level 5.

Our approach was to develop a structured development programme, delivered to cohorts over a 12-month period. The programme consisted of 4 face-to-face interactive modules, focussing on ‘my role as a leader’, ‘leadership communications’, ‘leading teams’ and ‘career path planning’. The modules, and pre- and post-work that made up the programme were carefully designed to stretch and challenge the learners, and workplace Mentors were allocated to provide additional support.

“There are lots of things I am already doing differently because of this programme, especially when it comes to communicating with my team and the other teams I work with”

Programme Participant

Outcomes

The programme so far, has been delivered to two cohorts, with great success rates – all learners completed the programme, and the average assignment mark was 80% across both programmes

On completion of the programme all learners were placed into a Talent Pool and 70% of the learners have either progressed into different, more challenging roles, or have moved into a higher level of management.

Allow Us To Improve Performance Through Leadership Behaviour...

We have asked people why they choose to work with us and keep coming back, and overwhelmingly they told us that no one else works so effectively to improve performance through people.
